Limited access to energy is another. But now, with $30 billion in clean energy funding from India’s government and help from social enterprises like Ļć½¶Šć’s own India Project, rural India’s future is looking brighter—literally.

Mckenna Polich, MCAS ’19: English major, self-starter, entrepreneur

Mckenna Polich ’19 never saw herself as an entrepreneur. When she arrived on campus in the fall of 2015, she wanted only to be an English major, because ā€œI was good at reading and writing.ā€ She stuck with that plan, until fears of being a college-educated barista sent her running to her advisor to talk about a business degree.

The Popolo Family Executive Directorship: What’s in a (new) name?

Sowing the seeds of tomorrow’s defiant problem-solvers, an alumnus is investing in the directorship of the Shea Center. With a generous gift from Joe ’89 and Chris Popolo, Ļć½¶Šć parents, Jere Doyle ’87 is now the Popolo Family Executive Director at the Edmund H. Shea Jr. Center for Entrepreneurship. Doyle, who has led the Center for five years, began his term as the newly-named director of the Shea Center on June 1.
