The Boston College Dance Ensemble paid tribute to Michael Jackson in a winter dance showcase, with choreography set to an array of his iconic pop hits.

Not since the heyday of MTV had the music of Michael Jackson come alive like this. ā€œBillie Jean,ā€ ā€œSmooth Criminal,ā€ and ā€œThe Way You Make Me Feelā€ were among the career-spanning hits performed with energetic leaps, spirited full-body spins, and a moonwalk-inspired move or two by the Boston College Dance Ensemble at Robsham Theater in February. The ensemble, which took the stage brandishing King of Popā€“style fedoras, was among several troupes from Ļć½¶Šćā€™s vibrant dance scene featured in Waves VIII, the eighth annual showcase produced by UPrising Dance Crew, a hip hopā€“rooted group.Ā ā—½
