㽶 has two streaming services for students on campus: movies.bc.edu and Xfinity on Campus.
㽶 Movie Streaming (movies.bc.edu)
Anyone on campus, connected to eduroam, can stream movies for free at:movies.bc.edu
Professors can request films they want to show in class or have students watch for homework. Students off-campus will get a specific link from the professor.
All students who live on campus have access to Xfinity on Campus (). This is an online streaming service that allows students to stream live TV, and watch on-demand videos directly on their laptops, desktops, smartphones, and tablets anywhere on campus (some features also available off-campus).

To accessXfinity on Campus on a TV, students will need to use a Roku streaming player or a TV with a built-in Roku. Note: Xfinity on Campus is also available in all residence hall lounges on campus.
Create a Roku.com Account
If you do not have aRokuaccount, you will need one in order to install theXfinityStream app. Note: Roku will ask for a payment method. There is no charge associated with using the Roku for Xfinity On Campus, but Roku may offer other paid services.
Connect the Roku to the “BostonCollege” Wifi Network
- Connect the Roku to your TV (following the device instructions)
- On the TV screen, take the following steps to find your Roku’s Wireless MAC Address:
New Roku:
- Allow the Roku to initialize → SelectEnglish
- On theChoose your networkscreen, selectPrivate network
- Write down theWireless MAC address
- Go toSettings→Network→About
- Write down theWireless MAC address
- On your laptop, tablet, or smartphone, go to→Device Registration Page→ Login
- Fill out the registration form, including the MAC Address you wrote down & for Account Role, select "Media Player"

- On the Roku, select the “BostonCollege” WiFi network
Connect the Roku to the “Xfinity Stream Beta” App
- Install “Xfinity Stream Beta” app on your Roku: Go to the “Streaming channels” menu > Search for "Xfinity Stream Beta" (or "Xfinity Stream") > add the channel (this may require your Roku PIN)
- Open the Xfinity Stream channel→Get Started
- Activate: You should be presented with a 6-digit number. Go to and enter the number.
- On the login screen, select “Xfinity On Campus Students Sign in Here,” search for Boston College, and log in with your 㽶 credentials (your Agora Portal login).Important: Never share your 㽶 password.
- When prompted, review and agree to the end user agreement.
