My name is Cami Kulbieda and I am a senior from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At Ļć½¶Šć, I am double majoring in Elementary Education and Applied Psychology & Human Development. In addition to serving as UGĻć½¶Šć President, I was a First Year Experience Orientation Leader this past summer!

I joined UGĻć½¶Šć my sophomore year because I am passionate about addressing the unmet needs of those around me and bridge gaps in their experiences. Being a senator provided me with just the right platform to use my voice and efforts to serve others in this way. My favorite part of UGĻć½¶Šć is collaborating, problem-solving, and brainstorming with peers on our initiatives. To me, there’s nothing quite like a passionate group of students united by the common goal of improving the community and campus they love.

This year, I’m looking forward to launching an internal mentor/mentee program to better promote collaboration and unity across our large, diverse organization. Externally, I most look forward to our tabling events and getting to chat with and meet fellow Eagles on the quad!

My name is Ellie Cost and I am a senior from Deep River, Connecticut. At Ļć½¶Šć, I am majoring in Applied Psychology & Human Development and double minoring in Management & Leadership and Communications. In addition to serving as UGĻć½¶Šć Chief of Staff, I am involved with the Arrupe International Encounters Program!

I joined UGĻć½¶Šć at the beginning of my freshman year. I was lucky enough to meet two former UGĻć½¶Šć members on one of my first days on Ļć½¶Šć’s campus and was told all about UGĻć½¶Šć. They convinced me to look into it, and after learning more about the organization, I decided to apply to the Student Initiatives division! My favorite part of UGĻć½¶Šć is how much I have been able to learn about Ļć½¶Šć. I have learned so much about the resources available to students and the many different organizations that make up Ļć½¶Šć through my work in UGĻć½¶Šć.

This year, I’m looking forward to meeting even more current UGĻć½¶Šć members and welcoming new members. I am also looking forward to some of my favorite UGĻć½¶Šć events such as Project Life, Dinner in the Dark, and ALC Showdown.

UGĻć½¶Šć Senate

The Senate acts as the legislative branch of the UGĻć½¶Šć by working to enact legislation, conduct surveys, and address student concerns and needs on campus. The Senate structure consists of four standing committees that work toward the aforementioned goals in an effort to better the Ļć½¶Šć student experience within their respective policy areas. These committees include the Academic Affairs Committee, the Intersectionality Committee, and the Student Life Committee. Each committee is overseen by a Senate representative who serves as a committee chair. Please refer to the ā€œContact Your Representativeā€ tab to learn about your representatives and the ā€œMeet Your Committee Chairsā€ tab to learn more about the chairs and their respective committees.

My name is Reagan Marino and I am a senior from Oradell, New Jersey. At Ļć½¶Šć, I am majoring in Political Science and double minoring in International Studies and General Business. In addition to serving as UGĻć½¶Šć Vice President, I am a Resident Assistant, a Research Assistant, a Campus Recreation Supervisor, and an APPA Student Leader.

I joined UGĻć½¶Šć during the first semester of my junior year while serving as a Resident Assistant at Messina in its inaugural year as a college. In that role, I witnessed firsthand the individual concerns and feedback of students. When an open Class of 2026 Senator position became available, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to further advocate for the needs of Messina alongside like-minded peers. My favorite part of UGĻć½¶Šć is the fact that everyone who is a part of the organization wants to be there and strives to make Ļć½¶Šć a better place.

This year, I’m looking forward to working with the senators to foster greater transparency between the student body and the administration. I’m also committed to increasing awareness of the valuable resources available on campus, so that every student feels informed, supported, and empowered.

Being in UGĻć½¶Šć gives me the opportunity to hear from students and learn about what changes and solutions are important to them! My favorite part of UGĻć½¶Šć is having the unique opportunity to build strong relationships with faculty and administrators that allow me to turn student concern into real progress on campus.

This year, I’m looking forward to expanding American Sign Language offerings on campus and working on improvements to UGĻć½¶Šć’s structure and function!

I joined UGĻć½¶Šć as a senator my freshman year because I did student government in high school and knew I wanted to continue to be involved as an advocate for my classmates. UGĻć½¶Šć also felt like a good opportunity to make connections across campus right off the bat. My favorite part of UGĻć½¶Šć is that it unites students from all groups and sectors on campus. I have met people I never would have known otherwise and I am so grateful for that. Our student government is truly representative of all schools, majors, grades, hometowns, interests, and passions. It is amazing to be able to collaborate with such a diverse group of individuals united by our desire to make Ļć½¶Šć the best it can be..

This year, I’m looking forward to working closely with my fellow chairs, as well as the directors, vice president, and president. This will be my first year in leadership and I can't wait to see what this new dynamic brings to my experience with UGĻć½¶Šć. I am also looking forward to getting to know my committee in Senate and taking charge of the next generation of Student Life!

In addition to serving as UGĻć½¶Šć Intersectionality Committee Chair, I am the President of First Generation Club, a CORE Facilitator for the Women’s Center, a Resident Assistant on Upper Campus, and Research Assistant for the Political Violence Project!

I joined UGĻć½¶Šć as a senator at the start of my freshman year, and have loved the engaging and productive community of the UGĻć½¶Šć Senate. I had been in student government and high school, and jumped at the chance to continue engaging with my fellow students in this type of role. My favorite part of UGĻć½¶Šć is that it contains the Senate and so many divisions. So much of the work and events that happen at Boston College comes out of different parts of UGĻć½¶Šć working independently or collaboratively, so this organization truly contributes so much to our campus.

This year, I’m looking forward to First Gen week, and I’m excited to support the Pine Manner Institute this year as much as we can with multiple events!

My favorite part of UGĻć½¶Šć is how its members reflect on areas of Ļć½¶Šć that can be improved and use their creativity and drive to come up with new initiatives and ways of doing things. It’s definitely a slow and steady process with a lot of behind the scenes work, but I think that’s the beauty of it.Ģż

This year, I’m looking forward to the Eagles Sustainability Case Competition because it’s something I’ve been working on the past couple of years. In terms of goals, I really want to engage with the student body to make sustainability fun but also more present on campus. My favorite part of UGĻć½¶Šć is the community I’ve gained through its members. The people in this organization genuinely care about helping others, and I’ve found a second home in having the opportunity to collaborate with kind-hearted and hardworking individuals who want to improve our campus.

This year, I’m looking forward to expanding the reach of the UGĻć½¶Šć social media accounts by creating engaging content that showcases the events, policies, and resources available to enhance students' campus experiences. My favorite part of UGĻć½¶Šć is all of the people I get to meet, both within and outside of UGĻć½¶Šć. When tabling on the quad, you get to interact with so many people that you would never run into. You also get so close with your division members during the weekly meetings and one-on-ones. I would have never imagined I would meet some of my closest friends and mentors through UGĻć½¶Šć. Also, UGĻć½¶Šć provides so many opportunities to talk with administrators, whether it be for initiative planning or our annual Dinner and Dialogue event.
