The Undergraduate Government of Boston College (UGĻć½¶Šć) is a student government created to enrich the lives of students attending Boston College. Its purpose is to serve on behalf of students' interests and to help cultivate an engaged and caring student community.

UGĻć½¶Šć Senate
The Senate collaborates with Ļć½¶Šć administration, faculty, and staff to facilitate tangible initiatives to the student body, based on feedback and concerns from the undergraduate community at large. The Senate structure consists of three standing committees that work toward the aforementioned goals in an effort to better the Ļć½¶Šć undergraduate student experience within their respective policy areas. These committees include the Academic Affairs Committee, the Intersectionality Committee, and the Student Life Committee. Each committee is overseen by a senator voted on by the Senate to serve as Committee Chair and, therefore, a member of UGĻć½¶Šć Leadership.

The Academic Affairs Committee addresses issues like course offerings, advising, and academic policy by representing student perspectives to faculty and administrators. The Committee also works on initiatives that enhance learning and support student success in the classroom.

The Intersectionality Committee promotes equity, inclusion, and justice for all students by addressing the diverse and interconnected aspects of identity and experience. Through advocacy and collaboration, the Committee strives to create a more inclusive and supportive campus environment.

The Student Life Committee focuses on issues related to campus life, including housing, dining, health, safety, and student engagement. The Committee works closely with administrators to advocate for student needs and promote a more community-oriented and efficient campus environment.

Queer Leadership Council
The Queer Leadership Council serves as a platform for advocacy and community-building, ensuring LGBTQ+ student inclusion, support, and representation on campus. The team is responsible for executing signature events that celebrate Queer Joy and uplift the Queer community, including QLC Formal and Pride Week. In addition to event programming, they advocate for LGBTQ+ rights through peer engagement and meetings with administration.

AHANA+ Leadership Council
The AHANA+ Leadership Council serves as a platform for advocacy and community-building, ensuring AHANA+ student inclusion, support, and representation on campus. The team is responsible for executing signature events that celebrate and uplift the AHANA+ community, including ALC Ball, ALC Showdown, and the Black History Month Speaker. In addition to event programming, they facilitate and support the AHANA+ Caucus by holding regular meetings for all culture clubs and maintaining a comprehensive event calendar to promote collaboration and visibility.

The Council for Students with Disabilities
The Council for Students with Disabilities serves as a platform for advocacy and community-building, ensuring accessibility, inclusion, support, and representation for students with disabilities on campus. The team is responsible for executing signature events that promote awareness and engagement, including Dinner in the Dark and Disability Awareness Month programming. In addition to event programming, they work to advance accessibility through peer engagement and meetings with administration.

Division of Student Initiatives (SI)
Student Initiatives is the Division of UGĻć½¶Šć responsible for developing and implementing programming that addresses the needs and interests of the student body. Through innovative events, initiatives, and collaborations with campus partners, they strive to enhance student life and foster a more engaged and supportive campus community. SI focuses on expanding university-wide programming across five main areas: First Year Initiatives, Health and Wellness, Women and Gender, Civic Engagement, and Athletics.
